Rabat – OneClickDrive, the largest car rental company marketplace in Dubai, has announced expanding operations to Morocco.

The company offers customers access to over 250 car rental suppliers with a wide selection of vehicles, according to a statement posted on Businesswire on Monday.

With more than 5000 vehicles, OneClickDrive is the largest car rental in Dubai, as well as the many cities where they have a market footprint. The company has a customer base of 100,000 users.

Building on their previous success, the company has expanded car rental services in Marrakech among other cities in Morocco.

“The country is a vibrant market with growing demand for car rentals, especially among tourists attracted by its rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and bustling cities,” the statement reads.

OneClickDrive plans to bank on Morocco’s strategic location in North Africa as a launchpad for further expansion.

The Dubai-based car rental is the latest in a series of companies that have flocked to the North African country since Morocco won the bid to co-host the 2030 FIFA World Cup with Spain and Portugal.

Since winning the bid in October 2023, the country has become a magnet for major hotels and airlines.

In December 2023, Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair unveiled a $1.4 billion investment plan to bolster its presence in Morocco. The funds will be used to increase Ryanair’s weekly flights to 1,100 flights across 175 routes, featuring 35 new connections.

Ryanair said that its debut in the Moroccan domestic market will see the company operating 11 internal routes. The company’s Summer 2024 schedule is set to cater to over 5 million passengers, a 33% surge in traffic to, from, and now within Morocco.

Ryanair also announced the establishment of a fourth Moroccan base in Tangier under a $200 million investment plan and the introduction of two new aircraft. In addition, Ryanair’s flights will now extend to Beni-Mellal and Errachidia airports.
