Rabat – CDG Développement, the strategic subsidiary of Morocco’s Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG) focused on integrated territorial development, has appointed Mohammed Amin El Hajhouj as Deputy Director General of CDG Développement.

El Hajhouj has over 30 years of experience managing large-scale projects and initiatives across various sectors. During his career at the CDG group, he led the Société d’Aménagement Zenata, the company behind Africa’s first eco-city, a project recognized for its sustainable urban planning approach.

He also headed INEE (Innovative Energy & Efficiency), CDG’s subsidiary dedicated to energy transition under the CAP 2030 Strategic Plan. Under his leadership, INEE developed a portfolio of initiatives supporting Morocco’s renewable energy strategy, positioning CDG as a key player in the country’s clean energy transition.

In his new role, El Hajhouj joins the Strategic Business Unit Expertise, which consolidates several CDG subsidiaries, including NOVEC, INEE, EUCAFOREST, the Compagnie Générale des Parkings, and CGI Management.

The unit focuses on digital transformation, innovation, and advancing sustainable development through ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives.

The CDG Group has set clear objectives: to reinforce synergies, leverage recognized expertise, and provide an integrated offering capable of addressing Morocco’s major national challenges.

“I am convinced that combining strategic vision with technical expertise is a powerful driver of transformation,” said Mohammed Amin El Hajhouj. “I am fully committed to contributing to this momentum to generate tangible and lasting impact, and to continue showcasing CDG Group’s expertise in service of current and future generations.”

El Hajhouj’s appointment entrusts him with overseeing these strategic priorities, strengthening the group’s innovation efforts, and advancing sustainability initiatives across its subsidiaries.
