Saibari Suffers Minor Injury, No Serious Concern for Quarter-finals

Rabat – Morocco have received encouraging news ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup quarter-final against France, as midfielder Ismael Saibari’s injury is not considered serious.

According to Almountakhab, medical tests confirmed that Saibari is suffering from a minor muscle strain. The injury is not expected to keep him out for a long period, giving Morocco hope that he could return in time for the crucial match.

Saibari is currently following a special recovery program under the supervision of Morocco’s medical staff. His training workload has been reduced while doctors continue to monitor his condition on a daily basis.

There is growing optimism inside Morocco’s camp that the 25-year-old will be fit to face France. However, the medical team is determined not to rush his recovery or take any unnecessary risks.

The final decision on Saibari’s availability will be made closer to kick-off. Head coach Mohammed Ouahbi is expected to wait for the medical staff’s approval before deciding whether the midfielder will start or be included in the matchday squad.
