Rabat – Morocco’s National Road Safety Agency (NARSA) issued a communique on Friday that urged road users to be extra vigilant and take all necessary safety precautions amid heavy road traffic due to Eid Al Adha.

Many travelers take to the road to spend Eid Al Adha holiday with their families.

Eid Al Adha, also known as Sacrifice feast, will take place on Sunday, July 10 in Morocco.

Eid Al Adha also coincides with the summer holiday, already marked by increased highway traffic.

In the communique, NARSA reminds all road users to exercise vigilance and prudence on the roads and to take all the necessary precautions and measures to ensure road safety.

The road safety office also urged vehicle users to send their cars for mechanical inspections and technical examinations of their safety systems before taking to the road.

NARSA also called on citizens to adequately rest before driving to avoid fatigue issues that can affect their ability to drive.

Road users seeking to travel need to prepare for the trip and check routes ahead of their departure to avoid “unpleasant surprises or potential dangers.”
