Rabat – The Ministry in Charge of Moroccans Living Abroad, in partnership with the Embassy of Morocco in Washington DC, the Consulate General of Morocco in New York, and Moroccan Professionals in the U.S. is organizing a preparatory meeting of the Forum for Moroccan-American Professionals Network.
This forum aims at empowering Moroccan-Americans to contribute to the development of their country of origin through sharing of expertise and bilateral exchange in the economy, trade and technology sectors.
During a meeting scheduled for June, the forum intends to capitalize on investment opportunities across several sectors. In addition, participants will discuss variables that have a direct impact on the projects’ viability in the Moroccan markets.
Any individual or group (Moroccans residing in the U.S.) with expertise in the promotion of cross border investments and economic cooperation is welcome to participate and should submit a project proposal. A joint collaborative project with non-Moroccans living in the United States is highly desirable. Once a project is received and reviewed, it will be submitted for consideration by the Moroccan partners during the forum.
If voted on as a final project, the project’s designer will be notified and informed that his/her project will be considered for partnership agreements sometime during October/November 2012. The deadline for project submission is April 30th, 2012.
The network of Moroccan American Professionals encompasses a large number of Moroccans living in the US, who collectively have expertise in managing projects from new technologies to sustainable development.
There is a growing awareness within the community of Moroccans living abroad about the many opportunities that the current economic and political conjuncture allows in Morocco, especially with government support and the overture of new local markets.
