Tangier – Following its amazing success in 2013, the 2nd edition of the International Forum of Very Small Businesses/Enterprises (VSB) will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2014 in Tangier.

VSBs have always had a vital function in the economic development of Morocco. These enterprises play a major role by being one of the largest sources for creating job opportunities and contributing to the growth of the economic competitiveness and in progress at a local level.

According to the official website of the VSB in Morocco, the organization of this event, with the participation of different departments and institutions, aims at creating job opportunities and encouraging investment, as well as sparking creativity in the region.

“We have created this meeting space so that leaders, creators and directors of VSB who don’t have time, can immediately and effectively benefit from their visit to this forum,” says Amal Cherif Haouat, the president of the VSB International Forum.

The VSB has a crucial role at fighting unemployment which reflects the national strategy, supported by the government, to encourage Small and Medium Enterprises.

This second edition started in Agadir (May 31) and, after the upcoming one in Tangier, it will be held in Khouribga (20 September), Oujda (25 October) and in Meknes (22 November).

This VSB will be guided by regional and national managers who will help future leaders of it find ideas and solutions to boost their business and enrich their creativity.

There is an open invitation to the public. The two sponsors for this event are Banque Populaire, with who is the world’s largest producer of phosphate, and Wafa Insurance.

The forum, which is scheduled to begin 8:00am and continue until 16:30pm, includes round tables, presentations, debates, and the participations of several directors, managers, heads and leaders of different associations, enterprises, groups and universities.

“This event is a crucial booster to promote small businesses in the region and strengthen the platform of exchange between the entrepreneurs and public and private service operators…” says Amal Haouat.

It has also been noted that this forum is made to showcase new products and examples highlight innovative services from banks, insurance, information technology and technical assistance.
