Rabat – King Mohammed VI has been captured on camera for the first time after removing his eyepatch. One week after having surgery on his left eye at the ophthalmology center of Quinze-Vingt in Paris, the king seems to be recovering well.
Posted yesterday on “His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, King of Morocco” Facebook page, the picture captured by Soufian El Bahri has been liked over 1300 times, with several commenters wishing the King a good recovery.
The King had the operation in early September to address a condition known as surfer’s eye, or pterygium, which had developed in his left eye, extending over his cornea, according to Abdelaziz Maaouni, the king’s personal physician.
