Fez – Canadian Stellar AfricaGold Inc., a precious metal exploration company, has announced securing four new exploration permits to expand operation in Tichka, south-southwest of Marrakech.

The company said in a statement that it has signed Tichka addendum with the Moroccan National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM), adding to the clauses of an earlier exploration agreement the two parties signed on August 18, 2020.

The new clause grants the Canadian company four new exploration permits annexed to the initial Tichka-Est Gold Project. The new authorizations also bring to 7 the number of licenses that the company now holds in Morocco, all on an overall area of exploration to 82 square kilometers.

“Two of the four additional permits are strategically located in relation to the two gold structures A and B recently discovered by Stellar’s extensive prospecting and trenching programs,” said the company’s statement.

As for the four new permits, Stellar highlighted it will immediately embark on exploration of the newly designated lands to take advantage of the region’s abundance of gold.

The four additional permits allow the company to “immediately commence exploration on the new highly prospective ground,” noted the statement.

According to information provided by the company, the Tichka Est Gold Project consists of seven permits aggregating 82 square kilometers. The project is located in Morocco’s High Atlas Mountain, approximately 80-kilometres south-southwest of Marrakech.

Stellar previously detected two gold bearing formations after conducting lengthy follow-up reconnaissance and upstream prospecting of stream silt gold anomalies originally identified by ONHYM.

Two significant gold structures, Zone A and Zone B, were discovered by two surface hand tool trenching programs in 2021.

The company will expand its operations in the area and will explore new wealth minerals. The Tichka Est Gold Project is Stellar’s main exploration project.
