Rabat – JESA technologies (JT) was selected today by Ideal Development for Manufacturing Industries (IDMI) to produce a Basic Engineering package for a new 2 MTPA beneficiation plant.

Created in 2017, JT is part of the JESA Group, Morocco’s largest engineering group.

JESA is a joint venture created in 2010 between Morocco’s OCP Group,  a global leader in phosphate-related industries, and the Australian Worley Group, one of the world’s largest providers of technical, professional, and construction services.

Jordan’s Phosphate Mining Company (JPMC) has awarded IDMI the  2 MTPA beneficiation plant project to upgrade the ore stockpiles A1 and A3 in different locations at the Jordanian Eshidiya mine site.

IDMI noted that it has chosen JT, among several renowned engineering companies, to be in charge of the project “for its vast experience in phosphate beneficiation technologies and solutions.”

IDMI further commended JT’s engagement in the engineering field, saying, “JT has done comprehensive and extensive tests to achieve the highest phosphate grade quality with minimum impurities, especially the SiO2.”

The company added in a statement, “JT will be defining the flowsheet based on the results of the bench and pilot testing currently underway in the JT laboratory and pilot plant facilities located in Lakeland, Florida.”

According to the statement, “the challenge of the project is to upgrade the ore from discard stockpiles to generate two quality products.”

In March, the JPMC and Indian Teesta Agro teamed up to launch a joint venture with a mission of producing phosphoric acid and DAP fertilizers in Jordan.

The estimated cost of the project amounts to $400 million and is expected to produce annually a total capacity of 300,000 tonnes that will be exported to India.
