On July 10, Morocco launched the “Access Maroc” site where foreign nationals residing in select countries can apply for an e-visa to Morocco, granting them entry into the country without visiting a consulate.
The visa allows foreign visitors to stay in Morocco for up to 30 days and is valid for 180 days after it is issued. Visas can be issued for tourism and business purposes through the site.
The new program is part of Morocco’s move towards digitizing some of its administrative processes, as well as revitalizing the tourism sector which is recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.
