Rabat – Morocco’s carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced on Tuesday the launch of a new campaign, with the aim of promoting and boosting Morocco’s attractiveness as a world-class tourist destination.

The company chose “Morocco Smiles to You” as the name of its international campaign to attract tourists from different markets, including Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.

In a press release, RAM noted that the campaign aims to support a high-intensity air program as part of preparation for the summer season.

Pledging an air program connecting Morocco to over 90 destinations, Royal Air Maroc’s campaign uses visuals to promote Morocco’s cultural, human, and natural diversity, stressed the press release.

All the visuals, including Moroccan destinations and their cultural richness, highlight the reinforcement of the company’s point-to-point lines connecting Moroccan destinations like Agadir, Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Al Hoceima, Nador, Tangier, Dakhla to international cities.

“While giving it the means to regain its market share, this campaign allows Royal Air Maroc to reconnect with travelers around the world. More than a fleeting escape, the Company promises unique moments of sharing in Morocco and an unforgettable life experience,” the statement explained.

The campaign is a “strong message” to the world, said the Moroccan company, noting that part of the campaign’s goal is to capitalize on the positive image reinforced by the uplifting performances of Morocco’s national football team at the 2022 World Cup.

“With ‘Morocco Smiles to You,’  we show the face of a smiling people, rich in its ancestral values: openness, hospitality, generosity, tolerance,” RAM detailed.

The statement recalled a partnership Royal Air Maroc signed with the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) in 2022, noting that the deal seeks to strengthen the promotional and commercial synergies of the two institutions and develop new markets.

With over 50 fleet, the Moroccan flag carrier announced earlier this week its plan to expand its aircraft networks to meet customers demand and to develop its global growth.

Last week, Addou said that the Moroccan company is looking to add “many new routes” to serve several destinations across the world, including Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

The RAM CEO emphasized the importance of a larger fleet as key to boosting the airline’s regional and global status and attracting more tourists from the four corners of the world to Morocco.

Through its campaign pledges, the company seeks to align itself to the country’s efforts on promoting Morocco’s tourism assets.
