Rabat – Jordan has announced the launch of an electronic visa service benefiting Moroccan travelers.
The measures seek to facilitate visa procedures for Moroccans wishing to visit Jordan. People wishing to benefit from the service can file a visa application on the service’s official site.
The Jordanian embassy in Rabat announced the new measure on Thursday, stressing that the decision is in line with “solid historical relations linking the two brotherly kingdoms.”
The visa will allow holders to access Jordanian territory for a stay of 30 days from the date of entry.
The statement stressed that this will also allow the travelers the possibility of extending their stay.
Morocco also made a similar move for the benefit of Jordanian travelers, among others in December 2022.
Last year, Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that nationals from Jordan, as well as from India, Guatemala, and Azerbaijan will benefit from the country’s electronic visa starting from January 10, 2023.
The decision is part of the country’s efforts to digitize its public administration service, both at the national and internal levels, and facilitate the arrival of tourists and those on business trips.
The reforms target consular services in the country’s diplomatic missions and consulates.
