Rabat – Israeli airstrikes killed at least 704 Palestinians in the past 24 hours, with the international failing to to hold Israel accountable for its ruthless bombardment of civilians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

According to converging reports, the overnight attack brought the total number of Palestinians killed since September 7 to 5,791, including 2,360 children.

These grim reports of the alarming situation come amid a dire humanitarian crisis in the besieged Palestinian enclave, as hospitals’ electricity generators are running out of fuel.

On Tuesday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said electric generators in hospitals in Gaza will stop functioning in the next 48 hours due to fuel shortage.

The ministry also alerted the international community that the healthcare system in Palestine has reached its “worst stage in its history” in the past week due to Israel’s relentless and merciless bombing campaign.

Despite such bleak reports from observers on the ground, including international Human rights organizations and UN-affiliated bodies, the UN has outrageously failed to pass a resolution for an immediate ceasefire or a humanitarian pause to the brutal shelling of civilian infrastructure in Gaza, including hospitals, schools, places of worship, and even refugee camps.

Earlier today, the World Health Organization issued an appeal lamenting its inability to distribute fuel and essential supplies to major, distressed Gaza hospitals amid the reckless and unrelenting shelling of the enclave.

The WHO statement concluded with a heartfelt appeal for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire so that essential and life-saving medical supplies can be delivered throughout the Gaza Strip.
