Radisson Hotel Group’s expanding presence in Morocco
In the past few years, Radisson Hotel Group has been gradually scaling its presence in Morocco. The group currently manages eight facilities in the North African country.
In July 2021, Radisson Hotel Group announced that, in partnership with real estate investment company Madaef, they are set to open seven Moroccan hotels located in key tourist hotspots including Al Hoceima, Saidia, and Taghazout.
The new portfolio covers resorts and residences that would add over 1,600 rooms bringing the Group’s Moroccan portfolio to 10 hotels, fast-tracking its strategy to reach 15 hotels in operation and under development in the country by 2025.
Highlighted among the recent openings are the Radisson Blu Resort, Al Hoceima, a beach resort with 432 rooms, featuring direct beach access and water sports activities, as well as a 142-unit property in Al Hoceima with contemporary apartments and shared facilities.
Additionally, Saidia saw the launch of a centrally located resort near the marina, the Radisson Blu Resort, Saidia Beach, and a converted 150-room resort with views of the golf course or its gardens. Furthermore, in Saidia, the country welcomed its eighth hotel, featuring 192 units comprising Studios, Suites, and Apartments.
The company is on track to reach its target in Morocco. Another recent addition to its portfolio is the newly opened resort on Taghazout Bay, which provides accommodation options including classic rooms, bungalows, and cabanas. Additionally, the resort offers dedicated spaces for special events, such as weddings.
With these recent openings and strategic partnerships, the Hotel Group is making significant strides in its Moroccan expansion, solidifying its presence in key tourist destinations.
