Mohammed V University, University of Jaen Sign Scientific Research Agreement

Rabat – The Mohammed V University in Rabat and the University of Jaen in Spain signed on November 21 a framework agreement for collaboration in the field of higher education, scientific research, and the development of programs and projects in various sectors.

The agreement, signed by Nicolas Ruiz Reyes, President of the University of Jaen and Farid El Bacha, Acting President of Mohammed V University in Rabat, aims to strengthen cooperation between the two universities in order to develop scientific research, training, and education in areas of mutual interest.

It also seeks to coordinate student exchanges in bachelor’s and master’s programs, as well as doctoral students.

Additionally, the agreement intends to organize cultural events, conduct cooperative research initiatives, coordinate the development of foreign diplomas, and exchange instructors, administrative skills, and knowledge.

The president of the University of Jaen stated that although the partnership agreement between the two universities covers a number of topics, its primary provisions concern the exchange of professors, researchers, and students between the two academic institutions.

In a statement to the media, Ruiz Reyes emphasized that the establishment of a research and training program is another feature of the partnership, particularly with regard to master’s and doctoral programs.

El Bacha, for his part, said that this agreement is the first of its kind between the University of Jaen and Mohammed V University in Rabat, stressing that the main objective is to make it a meaningful agreement that would have an influence on both institutions.
