Rabat – The recently merged multinational outsourcing companies, Concentrix and Webhelp, launched on Friday a new call-center facility in capital Rabat’s twin-city Sale.
With the new office, Concentrix and Webhelp now operate a total of 11 facilities in Morocco.
The facility was inaugurated by the Delegate Minister in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Ghita Mezzour. The facility began operations less than two months after the merger of the two companies in September.
During the ceremony, Mezzour said that the inauguration reflects the enthusiasm that Morocco generates as an investment destination due to its privileged position, top-notch infrastructure, and pool of competitive, well-trained, agile, creative, and multilingual talents.
Concentrix and Webhelp facilities generate 10,500 jobs in Morocco with over 3,500 concentrated in the Rabat-Sale-Kenitra region. The company says it plans to continue to invest in its digital transformation.
The company is present in 70 countries on six continents, it provides outsourcing services to a number of industries including technology and consumer electronics, retail and e-commerce, travel, banking, financial services and insurance, healthcare, communications and media, automotive, as well as energy and the public sector.
In recent years, Morocco has made significant strides in boosting its image as an international outsourcing destination.
In the recently-released Global Services Location Index (GSLI) Morocco ranked 28th out of 78 on a list of the world’s best outsourcing destinations, making the North African country the second-best outsourcing destination in Africa and the fourth in the Middle East and Africa (MENA) region. The country jumped 12 places in the ranking between 2021 and 2023.
According to the index, Morocco’s “cost-competitiveness and multilingual (English, French, and Spanish) workforce along with a renewed focus on digital upskilling have improved the nation’s vision to host tech-related commercial operations.”
