Rabat – The Moroccan international football player, Achraf Hakimi, missed today’s training session with his French club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) “for personal reasons,” the club announced.
At a press conference, the head coach of the Parisian team, Luis Enrique, confirmed Hakimi’s absence, stressing however that the Moroccan player “is in very good condition.”
In addition, Enrique told the audience that the player will be present for Saturday’s league match against Nantes.
The coach did not disclose any further information on Hakimi’s absence, assuring that there is nothing serious that would impact the game.
According to the French daily L’Equipe, Achraf Hakimi was summoned by a regional court in Nanterre to appear before a woman who had previously accused him of sexual abuse.
Earlier this year, Le Parisien had reported that the woman went to the police station and said that the Moroccan football star had sexually assaulted her.
Despite the woman’s “refusal to file a complaint’ against Hakimi, the source stated that the French police still decided to investigate the incident.
The plaintiff claimed that the event happened in Boulogne-Billancourt on January 16.
She added that both had initially connected on Instagram and that their first in-person meeting took place at Hakim’s home while his family was away on vacation.
