Rabat – Global organization Oxfam reiterated its condemnation of Israeli occupation forces’ murderous war against defenseless Palestinians in a new statement today.
The organization warned that Israel’s occupation forces are killing Palestinians at an average rate of 250 people per day. This means that the Palestinian daily death toll “massively exceeds the daily death toll of any other major conflicts of recent years,” the organization said.
Sally Abi Khalil from Oxfam shared the organization’s concerns about the devastating situation, condemning the international community’s inaction to address the situation.
Khalil, who is Oxfam’s Middle East Director, also accused the international community of continuously blocking calls for a ceasefire.
Citing available data, Oxfam listed the average number of deaths recorded daily in major conflicts including in Syria, Sudan, Ukraine, Afghanistan, and Yemen.
The data said that the average daily deaths recorded in Syria is estimated at 96.4, followed by Sudan (51.6), Iraq (50.8), Ukraine (43.9), Afghanistan (23.8), and Yemen (15.8).
And Oxfam warns the death toll is set to keep increasing as it warned of the “massive threat to life, beyond direct casualties, from hunger and disease.”
Israeli occupation forces have continued their devastating war on Palestinians since October 7.
The Palestinian death toll reached over 23,357 victims in Gaza, while over 59,410 were injured.
Thousands remain missing or under the rubble.
