Rabat – The Moroccan youth team, 3andi Blasti, clinched third place at the prestigious Open European Championship (OEC) 2024 for innovation held in Bodo, Norway this week.
Renowned for attracting young talents from diverse backgrounds, the competition witnessed the Moroccan team’s remarkable performance in the Innovation Project section, according to a press release.
The 3andi Blasti team comprised passionate and skilled individuals who showcased unparalleled teamwork, innovation, and excellence throughout the tournament.
In a statement, the team expressed gratitude to their supporters, including mentors, families, sponsors, and partners, the team credited their unwavering encouragement and backing for their achievement.
The victory was not only a triumph for the 3andi Blasti team but also a source of inspiration and pride for all young Moroccans, they emphasized.
This is not the first time Moroccan young people have shone in international competitions.
In November 2023, the Nova Explorers team, representing the Active Labs center in Tanger, clinched the gold medal at the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) held in Panama from November 7 to 9.
Nova Explorers distinguished themselves by securing the 3rd position in the Future Innovator Junior category with their project “Skylinker,” according to a statement.
Morocco was the only African country on the podium among more than 70 participating countries.
The Skylinker project is an initiative that uses drones to provide network access to disaster-stricken areas.
