Marrakech – Meteor Airlines group is taking their “Agdal” album tour to new heights, landing in the UK for a series of concerts that are sure to shake things up.

The Amazigh rock band from Tinghir is set to introduce Edinburgh, Birmingham, London, Liverpool, and Manchester to their unique blend of ancestral music and contemporary vibes.

And just when you think they’ve hit their peak, they’ve got more dates lined up in Ireland, France, and Morocco.

On this tour, the group will be turning up the volume on their latest album, titled “Agdal,” which is a tribute to the ancient Amazigh systems of sustainable land and water management.

With environmental and climate issues more relevant than ever, the album hits the right notes, both musically and culturally.

According to the band, the tour isn’t just about the music; it’s about building a cultural bridge, connecting British audiences with the values of Morocco’s Amazigh communities.

Tackling themes of climate, resilience, and the urgent need to protect our cultural and natural heritage, Meteor Airlines infuses their music with the spirit of preservation.

The band breathes new life into stories that are deeply rooted in shared memories and a collective future, focusing on natural spaces with profound civilizational significance, like the oases and mountains of the Atlas.

But the music is just the beginning – this album is described by its creators as “a call to action to preserve ecosystems and cultural heritage essential to our future.”

This tour is “a dream come true,” shared Rachid Ennassiri, manager and member of the band, adding that, “We’re thrilled to share our music and the important messages behind it with new audiences.”

Since 2016, Meteor Airlines has been winning hearts and minds with their unique mix of Amazigh rock, drawing on Morocco’s rich heritage and global themes.

In July, the band snagged the Best Artistic Practice award in the Mediterranean region at the CREACT4MED Best Practices Awards in Barcelona.
