Rabat – Huawei Morocco and Hassan II University of Casablanca (UH2C) have officially announced the launch of “Code 212,” a digital skills center focused on developing Morocco’s next generation of tech leaders.
This hybrid learning platform bridges academic theory with industry practice, offering training in high-demand fields like artificial intelligence (AI), Cloud computing, big data, and the Internet of Things.
Through a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on application, “Code 212” looks to build technical expertise and innovative thinking, preparing UH2C students for leadership roles in Morocco’s evolving digital economy.
In October, UH2C President Houssine Azeddoug and Huawei Morocco Vice President Jason Chen launched “Code 212,” a collaborative center aligned with Morocco’s educational shift towards practical digital skills.
Huawei Morocco views “Code 212” as a milestone in its commitment to advancing Morocco’s digital transformation. “The launch of Code 212 with Hassan II University is a proud moment for us,” said Chen, in a company statement.
“This partnership reinforces our dedication to education and technology in Morocco, empowering students to become key players in the country’s digital future and fostering opportunities for innovation,” he added.

“Code 212” joins a suite of Huawei Morocco initiatives, such as the “Digitech Talent” program, which builds a network of young digital experts across Morocco. Through Digitech Talent, students and industry professionals collaborate in an interactive learning environment, gaining essential knowledge and technical skills for the tech sector.
The program’s comprehensive training modules strive to nurture talent that contributes to a more inclusive, advanced digital ecosystem.
The initiative also aligns with Morocco’s Higher Education Transformation Action Plan (PACTE ESRI 2023) by the Ministry of Higher Education, which seeks to modernize higher education with special attention to digital literacy and technical expertise to prepare students for global challenges.
Since establishing a presence in Morocco in 2002, Huawei has become a major player in the country’s ICT sector, operating from offices in Rabat and Casablanca. The company has contributed to the creation of 8,000 direct and indirect jobs and invested over $40 million in local procurement.
Huawei Morocco’s commitment extends beyond business, prioritizing corporate social responsibility through initiatives like the “Huawei ICT Academy” and “Seeds for the Future” programs. These efforts aim to develop a pipeline of young Moroccan talent in ICT, equipping them to be future leaders in technology and innovation.
Founded in 1987, Huawei now operates in over 170 countries, reaching more than three billion people worldwide.
