Rabat – A dozen complaints have already been filed against music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, with more expected to emerge, involving at least 120 alleged victims—25 of whom were minors at the time of the alleged incidents.
Combs was arrested by federal agents in Manhattan on the evening of September 16 following a sealed indictment.
The controversy has taken social media by storm, with hashtags related to the case trending across platforms. Public figures and activists alike have engaged in heated discussions, amplifying the scandal as more details continue to emerge.
The growing attention has sparked debates about accountability in the entertainment industry and the power dynamics that often silence victims.
Marc Agnifilo, Combs’ attorney, expressed disappointment regarding the prosecution, stating to Reuters: “We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs.”
Agnifilo added that Combs had voluntarily relocated to New York in anticipation of the charges, stating his willingness to cooperate with the legal process.
A spokesperson for the US Attorney’s Office declined to comment on Agnifilo’s statements, leaving the legal community and the public speculating about the nature of the indictment.
This case has taken social media and the music industry by storm as the 54-year-old music mogul has faced numerous allegations of sexual misconduct over the years.
Most recently, singer Dawn Richard filed a lawsuit accusing Combs of sexual assault, battery, sex trafficking, gender discrimination, and fraud in the Southern District of New York. Combs has publicly denied these allegations, asserting his innocence.

In another troubling development, Combs was ordered to pay $100 million in a separate sexual assault lawsuit filed by Derrick Lee Smith, who claims Combs drugged and assaulted him at a party nearly 30 years ago.
R&B vocalist Casandra Ventura filed a lawsuit against Sean Combs in 2023, accusing him of serial physical abuse, sexual slavery, and rape during their decade-long romantic and professional relationship.
According to the BBC, in her lawsuit, Ventura detailed disturbing accounts of violence, claiming that Combs “regularly beat and kicked” her, resulting in black eyes, bruises, and blood. She also described parties referred to as “freak offs,” where Combs allegedly coerced women into drug-fueled, days-long sexual performances, which he filmed for his gratification.
Ventura ultimately settled the lawsuit for an undisclosed amount in November 2023, while Combs has continuously denied any wrongdoing.
Combs celebrated his 53rd birthday two years ago, also marking the 30th anniversary of his influential career in the music industry, with an extravagant party at his Beverly Hills mansion. The star-studded event attracted celebrities like Jay-Z, Travis Scott, Mary J-Blige, Kehlani, Tinashe, Chris Brown, Machine Gun Kelly, and others.
However, the same mansion that hosted this lavish celebration was later raided by the police in March, leading to the seizure of items allegedly intended for “freak offs”—drug-fueled orgies—including drugs and over 1,000 bottles of baby oil. Combs has denied all allegations related to these incidents and pleaded not guilty on September 17.
Widely recognized as one of the most influential producers and executives in hip-hop, Combs has seen a storied career characterized by both success and controversy. As the situation develops, it remains to be seen how the legal proceedings will unfold.
