Morocco has launched the “DigiSchool” initiative in partnership with Huawei Maroc as part of the country’s vision to boost its digital transition.
A statement shared with Morocco World News today said Huawei Maroc partnered with the Moroccan Ministry of Education to launch the initiative as part of the country’s 2022-2026 roadmap for digital transformation.
The project aims to transform the Moroccan education system by integrating technologies to ensure equitable access to digital tools for all students across the country.
According to the statement, the launch of the project included training workshops for 265 teachers across Morocco’s regions.
The training focused on the pedagogical use of emerging technologies, it added, noting that the initiative also benefited over 2,650 students through projects involving technologies like AI, virtual reality, as well as web and mobile development.
In addition, the program included bootcamps at regional education and training academies in the Marrakech-Safi, Fez-Meknes, and Souss Massa regions.
The bootcamps featured intensive training sessions aimed at providing personalized support to participants, allowing them to refine their prototypes and ultimately strengthen their digital skills.

Minister of Education Mohamed Saad Berrada and Vice President of Huawei Morocco Chen Xiaolei made a tour to the Agadir region as part of the initiative. The tour aimed to boost engagement and promote academic excellence, the statement said, noting that the main objective was to closely monitor the participating teams and supervise the activities of the workshops.
It concluded by stressing that the minister and Huawei reaffirmed their respective sides’ commitment to creating a solid and lasting impact by leveraging innovation and collaboration.
David Li, CEO of Huawei Morocco, said the company is committed to this collaboration.
“The launch of the ‘DigiSchool’ program, born from the convergence of our partners’ vision, highlights the importance of strengthening digital skills and, ultimately, consolidating public-private partnerships, which are a real driver of a resilient digital ecosystem,” Li argued.
This is not the first Huawei-supported initiative to boost digital transition in Morocco. In October, Huawei Morocco also announced a partnership with the Hassan II University of Casablanca to boost digital skills among Moroccan Youth.
