Benguerir —Morocco is ranked among the safest countries for travelers in 2025, according to a report by travel safety intelligence companies Safeture and Riskline.

The country is classified within the “moderate risk” group on the Risk Map 2025, positioning it as the safest in the MENA region, alongside Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and the UAE.

In Africa, Morocco — along with Botswana and Namibia — stands out as one of the least risky countries for visitors.

A strong commitment to security

Morocco’s status as a safe destination stems from its comprehensive security measures and stable political environment.

The new risk map also reflects broader global trends, where travelers are increasingly prioritizing safety in an uncertain world.

Morocco’s strong positioning on this map is not only an acknowledgment of its stability but also an affirmation that well-governed countries with secure environments are becoming more attractive as global tourism rebounds since the 2020 pandemic. As other nations struggle with fluctuating safety standards, Morocco’s steady approach stands out.

Safe tourism vital to Morocco’s economy

As tourism is a key driver of Morocco’s economy, this recognition boosts the country’s appeal to international tourists, business investors, and global tourism organizations.

The map’s findings showcase Morocco’s role as a leader in the region’s travel and tourism sector, demonstrating how safety and security are intertwined with economic growth.

The global acknowledgment of its safety status is likely to spur further interest and increase visitor numbers.

Morocco’s future as a secure travel hub

With this distinction, Morocco’s tourism industry is poised for continued growth. The country’s unwavering focus on security, coupled with its rich cultural heritage and diverse landscapes, ensures it remains a top destination.

As Morocco builds on its strong foundation of safety, the future looks bright for the nation’s tourism sector, which continues to adapt and thrive amidst changing global trends.
