The Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) has convened researchers, practitioners and experts to discuss “the Noosphere and the Global South” during the second edition of the N2 Conference, which is taking place from December 16-18 on the university’s Benguerir campus.

According to a press release shared with Morocco World News (MWN) today, UM6P is hosting the event at its Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) in partnership with Human Energy.

The event, featuring a hybrid format, saw the participation of 33 speakers from diverse disciplines to engage a broad and varied audience to explore the role of the global collective consciousness in addressing contemporary challenges.

The speakers discussed a wide range of themes, including synergy and sustainability, science and technology, as well as leadership and youth.

“Morocco [being] at the crossroads of Africa, Europe, and the Middle East provides a fitting backdrop for these discussions,” UM6P said in a statement, renewing its commitment to research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

This commitment is in line with Morocco’s vision of serving as a regional hub for exploring transition in scientific, technological and societal domains.

UM6P has in recent months and weeks hosted a series of similar events, bringing together experts from different fields, including Nobel Laureates, to tackle some of Africa’s and the world’s most pressing concerns.

Earlier this month, the university organized an international conference that convened renowned scholars and scientists to explore the boundaries between science, philosophy, and spirituality.

The event aimed to provide perspectives to national leaders and Morocco’s youth, encouraging them to innovate and adapt more conscious practices in harmony with the spiritual quest for personal fulfilment and meaning.

Among the participants was Nobel Laureate William Phillips as well as neurosurgeon Eben Alexander.

The university also recently hosted a series of events to prepare students for the job market.

In November, the Bengurir campus brought together over 60 companies and 150 recruiters to facilitate direct talks between the students and employers.
