Rabat – Rabat Business School (RBS), part of the International University of Rabat (UIR), is stepping further onto the global stage as it forges new academic partnerships and climbs international rankings.
With over 110 partner institutions, most of them accredited by leading global bodies such as AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA, RBS is building a reputation as a key player in international business education from Africa.
A clear vision for global recognition
The school’s rapid rise reflects a deliberate strategy focused on quality and global integration.
RBS entered the Financial Times rankings for business schools in 2022 and made swift progress: from 86th place in its debut to 32nd in 2024. This trajectory places RBS among the top 5% of business schools worldwide with AACSB accreditation, a standard of academic excellence and global reach.
In a press statement, dean Nicolas Arnaud attributes this momentum to a clear vision. “We set out to establish RBS as a business school with real international influence, and that vision is taking shape,” he said.
One of the school’s recent initiatives, the International Triple Bachelor (ITB) program, reflects that ambition. Designed in collaboration with IESEG in France and HEC Montréal in Canada, the program allows students to earn three degrees, one from each institution. It’s an academic passport to top-tier careers across continents.
Expanding an international network
In 2025, RBS signed new mobility agreements with a range of prestigious schools, including HEC Lausanne, EM Lyon, Kozminski University, EDHEC, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, TUM School of Management, Copenhagen Business School, and Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management. All of them hold triple accreditation, reinforcing RBS’s academic footprint in Europe, Asia, and beyond.
“These partnerships show the confidence other institutions have in RBS,” added Arnaud. “They also give our students more choices for meaningful academic experiences abroad, at no additional cost in many cases.”
RBS now makes it possible for all eligible students to earn a second or even third degree through its global partnerships. Agreements recently renewed with Audencia and Rennes School of Business add to the school’s growing portfolio of dual-degree options. Students can pursue undergraduate or graduate-level degrees through these programs, often without facing higher tuition fees.
Several new agreements are expected to be finalized soon, offering even more routes to international qualifications.
A global campus in practice
RBS doesn’t only promote internationalism on paper. It brings that mindset into its classrooms, where more than 65% of faculty come from outside Morocco. All programs are taught in English from the first year, and the student body includes more than 500 international students from over 50 countries.
Life on campus reflects this diversity. Each year, the school organizes an International Day where students from over 25 nationalities share their cultures. Events like Partner Day and the Study Abroad Fair create moments of exchange with visiting universities and engage students on global themes such as sustainability and innovation.
RBS also maintains active membership in global academic networks, including the African Association of Business Schools (AABS), the Global Business School Network (GBSN), and QTEM (Quantitative Techniques for Economics and Management). These affiliations support the school’s mission to contribute to Africa’s future by equipping students with tools to lead both locally and globally.
Rabat Business School stands among the world’s top 100 business schools according to the Financial Times and QS rankings.
With more than 2,700 students and a broad network of international partners, it offers a wide range of academic paths, from bachelor’s and master’s programs to an executive MBA and doctoral studies.
