Morocco’s Airport Authority Restructures Leadership to Advance 2030 Strategy

Rabat — Morocco’s National Airport Authority (ONDA) has launched a major reorganization of its three main divisions to boost performance and prepare for its “Airports 2030” strategy rollout.

ONDA announced two significant changes to its internal structure, including interim appointments and a call for new leadership candidates, while keeping existing expertise within the organization.

It has also opened applications to recruit new directors for its “Air Navigation” and “Airport Operations” divisions.

The authority appointed two interim directors to ensure continuity while the selection process moves forward.

The two current directors, both experienced professionals who helped develop ONDA, will now focus on development projects and report directly to the General Director.

This restructuring follows recent changes in the commercial division, which welcomed a new director whose mission centers on economic performance, strategic partnerships, and transforming airports into multi-service hubs and living spaces.

Through this redistribution of responsibilities and search for new talent, ONDA actively strengthens the deployment of its “Airports 2030” strategy.

The authority relies on all its divisions and skills to accomplish this mission.

Morocco’s national Airport Authority places human resources as the essential driver of transformation.

The authority prioritizes team skill development, continuous training, and management innovation to guarantee operational excellence and service that meets its ambitions.

ONDA now enters a new phase of internal restructuring, driven by the “Airports 2030” strategy and a clear ambition to adapt the organization to future challenges, strengthen team capabilities, and build tomorrow’s airports with method and commitment.

Morocco has been working on enhancing its transportation management ahead of the most prestigious competition, the 2030 FIFA World Cup, to be co-hosted with Spain and Portugal.

With the Airports 2030 initiative, ONDA aims to align Morocco’s airport infrastructure with top international standards.

Also, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics has announced an ambitious plan to expand national airport capacity from 30 million ro 80 million passengers by 2030.
