Rabat — As the world watches in silence, Israel-induced starvation in genocide-ravaged Gaza continues to harvest the lives of innocent civilians.
The recent updated number of starvation deaths has jumped to 124, including 84 children, according to health ministry.
The Israeli Occupation Forces’ (IOF) starvation approach has claimed the lives of three children in the past 24 hours, as the strategy continues to apply, leaving innocent civilians in dire need of food and aid.
The mass famine is taking over Gaza and being “contructed and deliberate,” with death looming bodies emaciated by starvation, according to a statement from the UN agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA).
The statement lamented Israeli- and US-backed aid distribution mechanism, known as the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, (GHF).
UNRWA argued that it serves “military and political objectives,” adding that rather than saving lives it is strategically “taking more lives.”
Images circulating on social media have stirred international condemnation, with the hashtag #GazaIsStarving trending, exposing the reality of Israeli atrocities on the ground.
The IOF starvation approach has triggered condemnation around the world, with humanitarian organizations calling for an immediate opening of the crossing borders to allow entry of food and aid to the enclave.
World leaders, particularly Germany, France, and the UK, have also called on Israel to stop its genocidal-starvation approach and lift blockade on aid supplies to be delivered to the starving Gazan population.
French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Thursday that his country will officially recognize the State of Palestine at the upcoming UN General Assembly session in September.
Macron also indicated he has come up with a plan with Saudi Arabia to have France plus G7 allies Britain and Canada recognize Palestinian statehood.
