Rabat – By order of King Mohammed VI, Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan received a group of children from Al Quds (Jerusalem) on Monday at the Royal Palace in Tetouan.

The children participated in the 16th edition of the summer camp organized by the Bayt Mal Al Quds Acharif Agency (BMAQ).

The initiative – a larger part of the continued efforts by King Mohammed VI, President of the Al Quds Committee, to support the Palestinian cause –  reflects Morocco’s continued support for the Holy City and its residents.

Through its programs, the BMAQ provides assistance to families, children, and women in vulnerable situations, aiming to strengthen ties between Morocco and the Al Quds.

This year’s edition, named “Harat Al Maghariba,” brought together 50 children aged 11 to 14 and five supervisors from the Holy City.

The program offered educational trips, cultural visits, and sports and artistic competitions, allowing the children to interact with Moroccan peers and experience the North African country’s cultural heritage firsthand.

During the reception, Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan met with Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, Director of the Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif Agency, alongside program supervisors.

The children presented the Crown Prince with a gift, while Echarkaoui handed him a photo album capturing the most notable moments of the camp.

The Prince also posed for a commemorative photo and attended a reception hosted by the King in honor of the participants.

Since its launch in 2008, the summer camp program has welcomed over 800 children from Al-Quds, alongside 80 supervisors. Through visits to different regions of Morocco, Palestinian children witness solidarity of Moroccans with their country’s cause, especially as their people continue to gravely suffer under Israel’s genocide in Gaza and war crimes in the West Bank.
