Rabat – Israel continues to breach the Gaza ceasefire agreement, killing several Palestinians since the truce began.
Today, October 19, Palestinian news agency Wafa said Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) killed at least two Palestinians while others were injured in an Israeli airstrike east of Jabalia.
The agency also quoted medical sources saying that ambulance crews “were unable to reach the area” due to the dangerous conditions.
Several reports also confirmed that Israeli forces continue carrying out attacks across Gaza, including in Rafah.
In defense of the ceasefire violations, the IOF claims that the Hamas resistance group carried out “multiple attacks” against them.
Despite the ceasefire announced earlier this month, reports have confirmed that Israel is continuing its campaign of killing Palestinians, and the Gaza death toll continues to rise.
On Saturday, the Palestinian news agency reported that the Gaza death toll stands at 68,116, with 170,200 others injured by Israel since October 2023.
Of this death toll, Israel has killed at least 27 Palestinians since the most recent ceasefire came into effect on October 11.
“Simultaneously, thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks,” the same source added.
Beyond raids and airstrikes, Israel also continues its relentless campaign of seizing Palestinian-owned vehicles and construction equipment south of Jenin, with reports of the IOF even preventing farmers from accessing their own lands.
On Sunday, activists also warned of the growing risk of man-made famine in Gaza, as Israel closed the Rafah crossing, despite the ceasefire in place.
Additionally, reports indicate Israel has been carrying out arbitrary arrests and detentions. Today, Wafa said IOF detained 13 Palestinians, including three minors, during raids across the occupied West Bank.
