Marrakech – Moroccan university students can now access Google’s premium AI tools at no cost for 12 months. Google has extended its Gemini Pro subscription offer to Moroccan higher education students aged 18 and above, providing them with advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.
As part of Google’s broader educational mission, the initiative gives students free access to the Google AI Pro plan until December 9. Eligible students receive Gemini 2.5 Pro, Google’s most capable AI model, along with several premium features and 2 TB of cloud storage.
To activate the offer, Moroccan students must verify their academic status on their personal Google account through SheerID by providing a valid university email address, such as [email protected], along with an official proof of enrollment, like a student card or registration certificate.
The subscription can be activated through the dedicated offer portal provided by Google.
The plan includes unlimited text and image conversations with advanced reasoning capabilities. Students can upload handwritten notes, equations, or textbook pages for instant explanations. The service allows transformation of course materials into personalized quizzes, flashcards, and study guides for exam preparation.
Deep Research is another key feature, performing comprehensive online searches to generate concise, cited reports. This tool helps students save hours of research time by synthesizing information from across the web.
Equipping students for classroom success and future careers
The subscription also provides access to Gemini Live, enabling students to speak directly with the AI. They can rehearse presentations or share their screen for real-time feedback on their work.
Veo 3.1 Fast is included in the package, allowing students to convert text and images into short videos with custom audio. The Audio Overview feature transforms lecture recordings or textbook chapters into podcast-style guides for on-the-go studying.
Creative tools are also part of the offer. Whisk assists with storyboarding while Flow generates cinematic videos. NotebookLM serves as an intelligent research assistant with expanded capabilities for video and audio overviews.
The 2 TB of cloud storage through Google One provides ample space for research projects, written assignments, and high-resolution media files.
Google’s initiative aims to equip students with foundational AI skills for classroom success and future workforce preparation. The company recently introduced Gemini for Education and made Gemini in Classroom available to all Google Workspace for Education editions at no cost.
Similar offers have been extended to university students in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jordan, and the UAE, among others. The company framed the program as part of its broader commitment to expanding access to knowledge through AI technology.
