Agadir – The National Order of Adouls (Islamic notaries) and the National Commission for the Control of the Protection of Personal Data (CNDP) signed an agreement on Tuesday, March 3 at the CNDP headquarters, bringing the adoul sector into the DATA-TIKA program.

The agreement, signed by Soliman Adkhoul, President of the National Order of Adouls, and Omar Seghrouchni, President of the CNDP, aims to ensure that adouls comply with Law No. 09.08 on the protection of personal data.

The DATA‑TIKA program is a CNDP initiative to help organizations comply with the country’s data protection framework under Law No. 09‑08.

It provides practical support, including awareness campaigns, training, audits, and operational tools, designed to guide both public and private entities to govern data and process data as well as protect personal information.

DATA‑TIKA is structured around different tracks aimed at supporting businesses, government bodies, and civil society, with the overarching objective of embedding strong data protection measures across the national ecosystem.

To support this effort, the CNDP has created a dedicated unit for adouls, offering guidance and assistance tailored to the sector’s specific needs. This unit will help adouls understand their obligations under the law and implement best practices for handling personal data securely and responsibly

This partnership reflects the National Order of Adouls and the CNDP mission to create a professional adoul sector based on compliance, ethics, and respect for individuals’ data privacy rights.
