Morocco international Ismael Saibari delivered a fantastic performance on Saturday, inspiring PSV Eindhoven to a huge 4-3 comeback victory over FC Utrecht in one of the most thrilling matches of the Eredivisie season.
At the Philips Stadion, PSV found themselves in early trouble after conceding twice inside the opening 13 minutes, with Utrecht racing into a shock 2–0 lead.
But when his team needed a spark, Saibari answered. The Atlas Lion ignited PSV’s comeback in the 21st minute, producing a brilliant solo run before calmly finishing to pull one back and bring the home side back into the contest.
Just moments after the restart, Saibari struck again. In the 48th minute, the Moroccan midfielder showed his sharpness once more, netting his second goal of the afternoon to level the score at 2–2.

Only four minutes later, he turned provider. Saibari led another dangerous attack and set up Guus Til for PSV’s third goal, completing a remarkable turnaround from 0–2 to 3–2 in the space of just over 30 minutes.
Although Utrecht later equalized to make it 3–3, PSV had the final word as Couhaib Driouech scored a great stoppage-time winner in the 94th minute to seal an unforgettable win.
Saibari’s performance was widely described as a masterclass, with the 25-year-old directly involved in three of PSV’s four goals and proving once again why he has become one of the club’s most decisive players.
With this latest performance, Saibari now has 17 goals and 8 assists in 32 league appearances.
PSV manager Peter Bosz was full of praise after the match about Saibari’s complete skill set. « He combines power with technique and insight. » said Bosz.
The victory moves PSV another step closer to the Eredivisie title, with once again the Lion of the Atlas carrying them forward.
