Rabat – Barcelona faces Getafe this Saturday at 3:15pm, a test that won’t be easy despite the Catalans overall superiority. Getafe plays well in the Coliseum. While Barcelona will look to snatch the LaLiga title, Getafe comes with nothing to lose and everything to win.

Hansi Flick is forced to manage the absence of a couple of cards, notably his starboy Lamine Yamal and Brazilian winger Raphinha. Their absence puts an added pressure on Ferran Torres, who has proved to be a reliable striker in LaLiga matches. While also counting on Robert Lewandowski’s experience in the front line.

Barcelona leads in the current season of LaLiga with a nine-point advantage over their rival, Real Madrid. The Catalans are in great shape, they’ve managed 82 points from 32 matches, with an outstanding attack scoring 85 goals. Real Madrid’s late slip against Real Betis yesterday has made it a little easier for FC Barcelona, giving them even a clearer shot in the title race.

Getafe, on the other hand, are enjoying one of their best seasons ever. Under José Bordalás’s lead, they have been among the best defensively organised teams of this season. They only let in 32 goals throughout the season.

Getafe’s 44 points from 29 games tells you everything about how competitive they’ve been this season. The recent away victory against Real Sociedad showed that they can turn tables at any time. With the title on the line, Blaugrana can’t afford any slip ups in their title race.

The earlier confrontation against the two ended in a comfortable (3–0) win for Barcelona. However, this match will be a different test. Getafe will aim to slow things down while relying on their strong defence. At the same time, if the chance comes at any moment, they surely won’t miss it.
