Rabat-Morocco will host two international friendly matches involving Angola during the June 2026 FIFA window, with both games to take place in Casablanca.

Angola will face Botswana on June 5 before taking on the Central African Republic on June 9, using Morocco as their base for the international break.

The choice of Morocco is linked to the country’s strong infrastructure and its growing role in African football.

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has often made stadiums and training centres available to other African nations, whether for friendly matches, qualification games, or training camps.

For many federations, Morocco offers reliable organisation, quality pitches, modern facilities, and easier logistics than other options.

Why Casablanca works for teams

Casablanca is one of the most practical cities for this kind of international camp.

It has stadiums that meet international standards, training sites, hotels, and direct travel connections. Hosting both matches in the same city also allows Angola to remain in one place throughout the camp instead of travelling between fixtures.

That gives the players and coaching staff a smoother preparation period.

These two friendlies come at a useful moment for Angola as they prepare for future official competitions.

Matches against Botswana and the Central African Republic will give the coaching staff a chance to test players, work on tactical ideas, and evaluate the group in real match conditions.

The June window is of the utmost importance for national teams because it offers time to make adjustments before competitive football returns.

Morocco’s growing place in African football

This is another sign of Morocco’s increasing presence in continental football.

Aside from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the country has recently hosted youth tournaments, futsal events, and qualification matches for several African nations. More teams are now turning to Morocco when they need a dependable venue and good preparation conditions.
