Rabat – The 2025‑26 UEFA Champions League has its finalists. Paris Saint‑Germain and Arsenal will meet in the 71st edition of the competition’s showpiece.
Scheduled for Saturday, May 30, at the Puskas Aréna in Budapest, the final will take place in a stadium that holds more than 67,000 fans. Kick‑off is set for 17:00 GMT+1.
UEFA confirmed before the season that this year’s final would start earlier than the traditional 20:00 GMT+1 slot.
The governing body explained the change was designed to improve the overall experience for supporters, teams, and host cities.

According to UEFA, the new timing will make it easier for families and children to attend the biggest club game of the year.
It also helps with logistics, giving fans more time to travel safely after the match using public transport.
Cities hosting the final are expected to benefit economically, as the earlier finish allows supporters more time to celebrate and spend in local businesses.
The matchup
PSG reached the final after eliminating Bayern Munich, while Arsenal booked their place by overcoming Atletico Madrid.
Both clubs now prepare for a historic clash in Budapest, with PSG chasing back‑to‑back Champions League titles and Arsenal aiming to lift the trophy for the first time in their history.
PSG and Arsenal have faced each other seven times in European competition, with the record evenly balanced, two wins each and three draws.
Their most recent meetings came in the 2016‑17 Champions League group stage, where both matches ended level.
The rivalry dates back to the 1993‑94 Cup Winners’ Cup, when Arsenal eliminated PSG in the semifinals before going on to win the trophy.
The upcoming 2026 final in Budapest will be their first Champions League final against each other, adding a new chapter to a long‑standing European duel.
This also marks the third time Achraf Hakimi has reached a Champions League final, having won the title twice, first with Real Madrid and then with Paris Saint‑Germain last season.
If he manages to win again in Budapest, he will join Cameroonian legend Samuel Eto’o as the only African player to have lifted the trophy three times.
