Agadir – Morocco has witnessed the creation of more than 50,300 companies online since the launch of the DirectEntreprise platform, according to the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC).
The move is in line with Morocco’s pledges seeking to improve the business climate through digitalization and administrative reform. The platform, which was introduced to simplify company creation procedures and encourage investment, was first tested in February 2023 in Rabat.
It targets professionals under Law 88.17 on the electronic creation and support of businesses. Following this initial launch, the system was generalized nationwide in March 2025.
DirectEntreprise serves as a unified digital gateway that enables users to complete all procedures needed for business creation across multiple government entities.
These include OMPIC, the Ministry of Justice through commercial registry courts, the General Secretariat of the Government via the Official Gazette, the General Directorate of Taxes, and the National Social Security Fund (CNSS).
OMPIC said that the platform attracted more than 3,200 registered professionals, including notaries, lawyers, chartered accountants, and certified accountants, who use its services to facilitate business registration.
The same source pledged that the average time required to establish a company through the platform is three days for complete applications, while some cases are processed in less than 24 hours.
In 2026, electronic company creation accounted for 44% of all newly established businesses in Morocco, whether through digital or traditional means.
The adoption rate exceeds 70% in several cities, including Fez, Dakhla, Errachidia, El Jadida, Safi, Benslimane, Sidi Bennour, Settat, and Khenifra, indicating strong regional uptake.
User satisfaction has also been reportedly high. According to a survey cited by OMPIC, 94% of professionals using the platform reported a positive and seamless experience.
The DirectEntreprise project is overseen by the Ministry of Industry and Trade through OMPIC, in coordination with several key institutions, including the Ministry of Justice, the General Secretariat of the Government, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the General Directorate of Taxes, the Official Gazette, and the CNSS.
