Real Madrid is Working on Jose Mourinho Deal Despite Public Denial

Rabat – José Mourinho is in talks about a potential return to Real Madrid. Despite Mourinho’s plain denial that he has spoken to anyone at the club, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has affirmed that “things are 100% happening.”

According to the same source, “the negotiations and discussions remain underway, deal absolutely depending on Florentino Pérez’s final decision.”

Benfica, the actual club of the special one, has already approved his departure after May 17th, following the final game of their 2025-26 season, which is against Esotril Praia on May 16, according to the Sport Turkey journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu.

It should be noted that Mourinho had a meeting with Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez about the possibility of joining Los Blancos, during which he reportedly presented a list of 10 non-negotiable conditions for his return to the club. 

Mourinho’s possibility to rejoin Real Madrid is all in Pérez’s hands. An official statement by the club could put an end to speculations and clarify Real Madrid’s future.
