Marrakech – The International Series Morocco will return to Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat from June 11 to 14, carrying a $2 million prize fund and a new presenting partner in Visit Morocco, the brand of the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT).

The fourth edition of the tournament cements Rabat’s place on the Asian Tour calendar and deepens the event’s ties to the country’s tourism strategy. The partnership with ONMT aligns elite-level golf competition with Morocco’s push to position itself as a leading golf travel destination across the MENA region and beyond.

The tournament is co-sanctioned by LIV Golf and the Asian Tour. It operates as part of a broader player development pathway that runs from First Stage Qualifying School and the Asian Development Tour up to the full Asian Tour circuit.

Top finishers across International Series events earn points toward promotion to the LIV Golf League, with three spots available in 2026. Players finishing inside the top 40 in the season-long rankings also gain access to LIV Golf Promotions.

The Red Course at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam, the tournament venue, was voted the Asian Tour Players’ Choice Course of the Year in 2025. The layout measures 7,633 yards at par 73, with 11 par-4 holes, four par-5s, and three par-3s. The longest hole stretches to 598 yards on the par-5 fifth, while the shortest is the 192-yard par-3 fourteenth.

Zimbabwe’s Scott Vincent won the 2025 edition at the same venue, finishing at 14 under par with a total of 278.

The format is 72-hole individual stroke play across four days. Fields typically combine LIV Golf players, Asian Tour members, top local Moroccan players, and competitors from tours worldwide.

Rahul Singh, Head of The International Series, noted the growth trajectory since the event’s debut in 2022. “Each return has raised the bar for competition while contributing to the continued growth of the game in the country,” Singh said. He added that last season’s decision to commit to two further years in Morocco reflected the country’s “strategic importance to the Series.”

“Through this tournament, we are proud to bring some of the biggest names in golf to Morocco, while creating meaningful opportunities for local players to compete, learn, and elevate their game in a truly global environment,” Singh stated.

The Royal Moroccan Golf Federation, chaired by Prince Moulay Rachid, has supported the International Series since its inaugural Moroccan edition. The federation’s involvement has been central to building the development pipeline for local players, linking grassroots qualifying events to top-tier international competition.

Royal Air Maroc, Titleist, Rolex, and Fenix are also listed among the event’s tournament and series partners.

The International Series arrives in Rabat just weeks after the capital hosted the 50th edition of the Trophée Hassan II and the 29th Coupe Lalla Meryem, held from May 18 to 24 at the same venue. Prince Moulay Rachid and Princess Lalla Meryem presided over the prize ceremony on May 23.

Australian Scott Hend won the Hassan II Golf Trophy, while Canadian Anna Huang claimed the Lalla Meryem Cup title. The Hassan II Golf Trophy, founded in 1971 by the late King Hassan II, has been part of the PGA Tour Champions circuit since 2023. The Lalla Meryem Cup, created in 1993, has served as a Ladies European Tour stop since 2010.

PGA Tour Champions president Miller Brady and Ladies European Tour CEO Tom Phillips both attended the ceremony and expressed gratitude to King Mohammed VI, Prince Moulay Rachid, and Princess Lalla Meryem for the organization and hospitality extended to participants and guests.
