Achraf Hakimi has been included in Paris Saint-Germain’s squad for Saturday’s UEFA Champions League final against Arsenal, easing concerns over his fitness after his injury scare against Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final.
PSG coach Luis Enrique released his squad list on Friday, with the Moroccan international among the selected players for the biggest game of the season.
Hakimi had raised doubts over his availability after facing an injury during PSG’s Champions League semi-final clash against Bayern Munich. The right-back appeared to struggle physically during the match, causing concern among supporters ahead of the final.
However, Hakimi’s inclusion in the official squad strongly suggests that his recovery has progressed well and that the injury is not serious enough to rule him out of the showdown with Arsenal.
Hakimi has been one of PSG’s standout performers this season. The 27-year-old has played a key role in the club’s European run with his pace, attacking threat and defensive contributions.
