Meknes – The Moroccan national football team has completed its final training session on Monday ahead of the upcoming friendly match against Madagascar.
Led by head coach Mohamed Ouahbi, the national team completed a training session focused primarily on physical conditioning and tactical drills to ensure the squad is fully prepared for their next game.
The match serves as a key warm-up fixture as the Atlas Lions fine-tune their squad and tactics in preparation for the 2026 World Cup.
The highly anticipated fixture is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
Kickoff is set for 6 PM Moroccan time, featuring the Atlas Lions’ final domestic appearance before heading to North America for the World Cup group stages.
Morocco has been drawn into Group C for the tournament alongside Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti. The Atlas Lions will play their group stage matches in the United States, beginning their campaign against Brazil on June 13, followed by fixtures against Scotland in Boston on June 19 and Haiti on June 24.
Morocco enters the tournament ranked 8th place in the official FIFA World Rankings. Their highest position to date. Morocco remains the top-ranked team in both Africa and the Arab world.
The Atlas Lions will be looking to build on their historic 2022 World cup run in Qatar, where they become the first african and arab team to reach the semi-final.
