In addition to the extreme heat, strong wind gusts of 75 to 85 km/h are expected on Saturday in the northern provinces of Tangier-Assilah and Fahs-Anjra.
The warning comes as Morocco’s Ministry of Health urged residents to take precautions against heat-related illnesses.Â
The ministry called on the public to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, stay well hydrated, and pay particular attention to vulnerable groups, including children, older adults, pregnant women, and people living with chronic illnesses.
Authorities also encouraged people working outdoors or engaging in physical activities under the sun to increase their water intake and limit exposure during the hottest hours of the day.
