Agadir – Aya Gold & Silver announced today that it has made significant progress on the feasibility study (FS) for its Boumadine project in Morocco, while remaining on track to publish an updated Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) in the second half of 2026.

The company said the feasibility study, which began in early 2026, is advancing across several technical and operational workstreams, including drilling, water and power infrastructure, metallurgy, procurement, and logistics.

“We are very pleased with the progress being made across all workstreams for the Boumadine Project,” Aya Gold & Silver President and CEO Benoit La Salle said.

La Salle noted that the company has pre-qualified a group of mining contractors and is preparing to launch a competitive tender process for mining services, describing it as an important step toward establishing long-term operating partnerships.

“We have pre-qualified a select group of mining contractors and are preparing to launch a competitive tender process for the mining services contract, marking an important step toward establishing long-term operating partnerships for the project. The Updated PEA is on track for release in H2-2026, and we are planning to start early works by year-end, with the project access road among potential near-term priorities,” La Salle elaborated.

According to the company, more than 102,000 meters of drilling had been completed as of July 13 as part of its broader 360,000-meter infill drilling campaign, with 180,000 meters planned for completion this year.

The program aims to improve geological confidence by converting inferred mineral resources into indicated resources while also expanding mineralization across the Main, Tizi, and Imariren trends.

Aya said procurement activities have also advanced, with shortlisted mining contractors expected to participate in a competitive tender for the open-pit mining contract, which is scheduled to conclude during the first half of 2027. A similar selection process is underway for the processing plant contractor.

Aya Gold & Silver currently operates the Zgounder silver mine in Morocco and is expanding its exploration activities across the Anti-Atlas region.
