Speaking in a recent interview, Leandro Paredes broke the silence about Messi’s Argentina retirement decision after Argentina’s loss to Spain in the World Cup final.
“I think Messi has made the decision that the FIFA WC Final will be his last game with the national team,” he said.
However, Messi hasn’t publicly confirmed whether he will retire or not.

For now, however, there has been no official confirmation from Lionel Messi or the Argentine Football Association regarding his retirement, leaving supporters waiting to hear directly from the captain about his future.

One of the questions surrounding the Finalissima is whether legend Lionel Messi will continue representing Argentina after completing what many believe was his last dance.
