Casablanca – FIFA has unveiled the match schedule for the 2027 Women’s World Cup, confirming the dates and venues for all 64 matches across eight Brazilian host cities.
The tournament will open at Rio de Janeiro’s iconic Maracanã Stadium on June 24, 2027, with hosts Brazil beginning their campaign at the historic venue before moving to São Paulo and Brasília for their remaining group-stage matches.
The competition will be staged across eight cities, with each host venue set to welcome at least seven matches, including at least one knockout-stage fixture.
Brasília, Porto Alegre, Recife and Salvador will host matches through the Round of 16, while Belo Horizonte and Fortaleza join Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in hosting quarter-final fixtures.
São Paulo will stage one semifinal and the third-place match, while the tournament’s other semifinal and the final will take place at the Maracanã.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino highlighted the significance of bringing the tournament to Brazil, saying he was looking forward to seeing “a new chapter of women’s football history unfold” as players, coaches, fans and local communities come together.
“I already have goosebumps thinking about the incredible passion, colour and energy that Brazilian fans will bring to the tournament,” Infantino said.
The Maracanã will also make history by becoming only the third stadium to host both a men’s and women’s FIFA World Cup final, following the Råsunda Stadium in Sweden and the Rose Bowl in the United States.
The schedule will be updated after the final draw later this year, when the groups and participating teams are confirmed
