Agadir – Morocco is strengthening its position in the global video game industry as the Morocco Video Game Industry Expo 2026 hosts a new series of international meetings and partnership agreements aimed at accelerating the sector’s development in the country.

According to Morocco’s Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, the latest round of discussions brought together delegations and institutions from Scandinavian countries, Poland, France, and the United States to explore opportunities for collaboration, investment, and ecosystem development within Morocco’s gaming industry.

The meetings focused on “opportunities for collaboration, investment, and partnership development with Morocco’s video game industry ecosystem,” while also encouraging the exchange of expertise on building specialized gaming ecosystems, the ministry said in a statement.

The event also saw the signing of several new agreements and memoranda of understanding designed to support emerging talent and expand Morocco’s international presence in the gaming sector.

Among the key announcements was an agreement supporting the “GameCréLab 2026” program, an initiative aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in video game creation.

Organizers also signed a memorandum of understanding with Game Early, alongside the official announcement of the company’s launch in Morocco, marking another step in attracting international gaming stakeholders to the country.

In another milestone for the sector, officials announced Morocco’s first-ever participation with a dedicated national pavilion at an international video game industry exhibition in partnership with the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE).

The ministry said the initiative reflects Morocco’s growing ambitions to position itself as a regional hub for gaming, digital innovation, and creative industries.

The latest agreements build on a broader series of partnerships unveiled during the Gaming Expo 2026, which has highlighted increasing international interest in Morocco’s expanding digital entertainment ecosystem.

Government officials have repeatedly emphasized the strategic importance of the gaming industry as part of Morocco’s wider digital economy plans, particularly in creating employment opportunities for young people and attracting foreign investment in high-value creative sectors.
