Rabat – The first edition of speed reading and mind mapping championship in the African continent is taking place at the Hassan II foundation in Casablanca between May 28 and 29.

The event will allow Moroccans to benefit from the training of specialized experts, which would give them the opportunity to compete in international championships.

Mind mapping is a technique that assists in efficiently absorbing information. It is integrated in speed reading and allows people to understand difficult concepts and link them to different topics in a timely manner.

The event is the result of a partnership between the Moroccan Brain Sports Association (AMSC), the Association for Learning and the Brain (APAC), and the Hassan II Mosque Foundation in Casablanca.

The organizers have invited those interested in speed reading and mind mapping to participate in the championship, saying it will allow them to explore the great capacities and skills of the brain, including concentration and memorization.

President of the AMSC Majda Brabije expressed her pride in organizing this event “for the first time in Morocco and Africa,” noting that this first edition coincides with the world championships of the same sport.

The objective of the event is to “connect people to their true potential and introduce them to the best practices to improve their cognitive performance,” added Brabije.

The championship is organized through the web as well. “We would like to both attract participants from all over the world and offer them the opportunity to participate wherever they are based,” said APAC’s President Nicolas Lisiak.

In a recent interview with Morocco World News, Majda Brabije, Morocco and Africa’s Speed Reading and Mind Mapping Champion, revealed the advantages of this brain sport, calling it a “superpower”. She said, “It helps develop all 21st-century skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.”

Brabije also highlighted the benefits of mind mapping and speed reading for students and professionals to excel in their studies and careers, saying that it would enable them to develop valuable skills, including active listening, critical analysis, synthesis, creativity, memorization, and concentration.
