Rabat – Italian football club ACF Fiorentina is set to pay €4 million to secure a deal with Sampdoria for Morocco’s Abdelhamid Sabiri.
Talks have reportedly intensified between the two clubs over Sabiri, who made international headlines during Morocco’s historic World Cup run in December in Qatar.
Converging reports said Sampdoria refused Fiorentina’s initial deal worth €2 million and is now demanding €4 million for the Moroccan midfielder.
The latest deal also includes bonuses depending on the football player’s appearances, goals, and assists during matches.
If the deal is confirmed, Sabiri is set to stay with Sampdoria on loan until the end of the season prior to joining Fiorentina in June 2023.
Sabiri made spectacular appearances with Morocco’s national team during the FIFA World Cup in December 2022.
The Atlas Lion scored a very impressive goal against Belgium in a group-stage match from the corner.
The impressive goal made international headlines. “What a whip from Abdelhamid Sabiri,” FIFA commented on the goal.
Following the World Cup, offers for Atlas Lion players have increased.
