Fez – Moroccan Amine Adli of Bayer Leverkusen secured his team a ticket to the semi-finals of the DFB-Poka, also known as the Germany Cup, supporting a 3-2 win at the 90-minute mark against VfB Stuttgart on Tuesday.

The Moroccan international player managed to tie-up the game three minutes after entering in front of a full house at the BayArena in Leverkusen, before teammate Jonathan Tah scored the winning goal, ensuring massive joy for the Black and Reds.

Bayer Leverkusen, the club where Adli will continue to perform this exceptional season,  i will continue into the semi-finals of the German Cup  After the victory against Stuttgart, Coach Xabi Alonso’s men still remain invincible this season, despite all odds.

With his game saving equalizer, the Moroccan striker’s counter now shows 7 goals and 9 assists for this season. During the match against Stuttgart, Sofascore – specializing in football data – gave him a score of 7.95, the second best for this match.

Adli’s performance appealed to fans of the Atlas Lions. On social networks, Moroccan supporters, who still have a hard time accepting the early exit of Morocco from CAN 2023, believe that the national coach, Walid Regragui, should put Adli’s full potential into use.

One fan of the left-field striker passionately posted on X, formerly Twitter; “Amine Adli is on the left side, period. You hear me @WalidRegragui? Do you hear me ? I hope so.” (French translation)

Along this sentiment, many believe that the player should play up front instead of Youssef En-Nesyri.

A further testament to his dedication, the player had to face mental battles having lost his mother a few days into the AFCON, yet still  decided to represent Morocco.
