The winter transfer window is shut in Europe, but some leagues are still open for business. While Turkiye, Bulgaria, Austria, and more keep their transfer doors open, Moroccan stars have been making moves across the world – some upgraded and others sadly downgraded.

Hakim Ziyech has made a shock move to the Qatari side Al-Duhail after falling out with the Turkish club Galatasaray. Ziyech will join Youssef Al Arabi, Medhi Benatia, and Abdeslam Ouaddou who played for the leaders of the Qatar Stars League.

Adel Taarabet has just switched clubs in the same league. The 35-year-old has left Al-Nasr in UAE and joined the top-of-the-table side Sharjah, after a fallout with the manager.

Anderlecht in Belgium signed Elias Dao from Amiens. Saudi club Al-Taawoun pulled off a coup by signing Abdelhamid Sabiri from Fiorentina.

Meanwhile, Al-Wasl in the UAE secured the services of Moroccan goalkeeper Anas Zniti from Raja Club Athletic.

Egyptian giants Al-Ahly signed striker Achraf Bencharki after he left Qatari club Al-Rayyan.

The Winter transfer window has been full of action, but it remains to be seen who made  the best move that would impact his footballing career.
